Editorial Review

The clean and unfussy interior of this open-kitchen restaurant is reflected in its menu, which adheres to the Portuguese philosophy of simple food prepared well. Such appetizers as sautéed mussels and jumbo shrimp, grilled octopus and seared sardine accompany at least eight different types of grilled fish (grilled black espada, European sea bass, salted cod and monkfish among them) and seven meat entrées, served with rice and vegetables. A selection of 10 to 12 vintage ports is on hand. Mains $11.50–$18.50.
