Kensington Market scenesters flock to hear live bands and DJs while noshing on Asian fusion treats, such as excellent grilled calamari in briny chimichurri sauce, or mango salad with Thai basil, roasted peanuts and spicy grilled tiger shrimp. Presentations are celebratory, mounted with streamers of daikon and beet. Crunchy panko-encrusted salmon cakes could use more flavour, especially when paired with smoky chipotle and red pepper purée. Green tea crème brûlée is more confusion than fusion.
