expensiveThis pan-Asian restaurant packs a cool crowd into its pale green space, lined with cream-coloured leather banquettes and wooden tables. Rotating art and orchid arrangements provide bursts of colour, while jazz sets a hip, downtempo feel. The menu covers a lot of Asian ground: Singapore noodles, Malaysian noodles, Shanghai noodles, Korean fried udon noodle and Thai green curry. The chef’s signature dishes include Monsoon Phoenix Nest (a citrus-infused crispy chicken and beef concoction served in a potato “nest”), soft-shell crab with yellow curry, and pan-fried fish with lime-basil vinaigrette. More conventional items, such as kung pao beef and lemon chicken, are also on offer. Mains $8–$17.
