They don’t go in much for warm welcomes at this no-frills diner, but that doesn’t stop locals from lining up. A long menu offers Israeli standards served in gargantuan portions. Chicken shawarma on hummus brings a crowd-size app of moist, shredded chicken with nice garlic-citrus notes, but the hummus is disappointingly bland.
