Editorial Review

As a third-generation foodie, owner Alex Eskandar has cooking in his blood. From this family-run takeout spot near Woodbine Avenue, Eskandar dishes out homemade Lebanese and Mediterranean fare, such as lemon-lentil soup, shish taouk, fried cauliflower and kofta. But loyal locals and tourists alike also order shawarma and falafel dinners complete with tabbouleh, potato salad and hummus. Unlicensed. Mains $4–$8.25.
