Reviewed by Toronto LifeWith its tiers of little cakes painted in lilac-, pistachio-, and indigo-coloured icing, this Queen Street tea room is a culinary fantasyland. Beyond this fantastical storefront, there’s an intimate coach house restaurant where lunch or afternoon tea is the order of the day. Expect masterful pan-Asian food served with panache. Bento boxes (changed monthly) come filled with unforgettable goodies, like a Balinese-style braised lamb curry, snappy soy-sesame green beans, and garlicky roast pork tossed with fennel in a chili-zinged dressing. There’s a bewildering array of desserts and teas, such as maple–brown sugar meringue cake, pandan coconut custard cake and chocolate crumble cardamom tart. Unlicensed. Bento boxes $25–$27.
