Editorial Review

Through the metal detector, down the hallway and up the stairs—the bright room provides a refreshing, affordable alternative to the Bay Street power lunch. Chef Adam Foley’s (ex of Rosewater Supper Club) daily menu brings fresh, light midday meals. Jade asparagus soup is flavourful but too thin to support its garnish of tomato and pine nut relish. A moist hunk of poached organic Irish salmon is paired with vibrant Cookstown organic blue potatoes and toothsome fiddleheads, but the plate yearns for salt. House-made desserts easily steal the show. Service is efficient.
