Small, colourful and lined with requisite sombreros, Mex (sans Tex) classics receive rightful treatment to the tune of Mexican satellite TV. Tortillas (the test of any good Mexican restaurant) are warm and fresh, with the chewy consistency of authentic corn chips. Nopales, a marinated salad of sliced cactus, jalapeño, pico de gallo and crumbled cheese, is cool and crunchy with a texture between cucumbers and green peppers.
