Editorial Review

Loungey music and long leather banquettes lend a cool vibe to this sleek, hazel-hued bar serving up pan-Mediterranean cuisine. Zemra salad brings a mix of grilled portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions and mixed greens splashed with honey–balsamic vinaigrette; pan-seared Atlantic salmon sees the fillet doused in lemon-rosemary marinade. Tomato and cheese fondue served with mixed vegetables and bread tempts those who like to dip, dip, dip. Weekend brunch stars chocolate chip French toast and scrambled eggs with sun-dried tomatoes, provolone and garlic-walnut spread. Open-mike nights, frequent comedy events and lively jams increase Zemra’s nighttime allure. Mains $6.50–$23.
