Editorial Review

Kosher comfort food at its best. Fresh pitas are filled to order, with crisp salads running from coleslaw to tomato and cucumber to red cabbage, pickles and onion. Though the chickpea balls could be hotter, they feature lively spicing. Squirts of tahini and a slyly addictive hot sauce, as well as a glorious slice of deep-fried eggplant, make this falafel the closest thing to being there. A boureka is delicious with dense potato and mushroom filling, while its sesame-flecked exterior very well may be the flakiest substance known to man (it is a bit heavy on the margarine, though). The tomato sauce is rich and topped with just the right amount of greasy, gooey cheese. Unlicensed. COR.
