This large party–friendly Korean restaurant boasts generous barbecue offerings, favourite stews, hot and cold noodles, bi bim bap and set dinners with rice, soup and dumplings. Korean-Chinese dishes (heavy on the sea cucumber) and unelaborated Japanese-style sashimi and sushi round out the options. Of course, when everything possible is offered, not every dish is perfect, but the quality remains steady. Pan-chan side dishes include the usual kimchee, cucumber and daikon offerings—tasty but without the creative flair expected from a fine-dining Korean establishment. The barbecue choices are mounded high and are fun eating, though the marinade (used for all the meats, as is custom) is a bit too sweet, the meat sometimes a bit too well marinated. Friendly, casual service. Mains $9–$25.
