Reviewed by Toronto LifeThis small and sleek den in the middle of clubland rolls out a streamlined array of sushi, noodle and teriyaki options to a buttoned-up suit- and-stiletto crowd. Crunchy slices of kaki fry, plump oysters coated in crisp panko, come with a tangy yuzu sauce. The chef’s nigiri options, arranged on a narrow white platter, could use a garnish, but the tuna belly is supple, red snapper is delicately torched, and a robust horse mackerel is tamed by a tiny mound of slivered scallions. Vegetable udon, loaded with shiitakes, string beans, asparagus and yams, does the thick noodle justice, but the dashi broth is too kelp-heavy. Cheerful and efficient service. Mains $16–$29.
