Editorial Review

The all-black exterior may be daunting, but inside awaits a traditional Japanese restaurant that is abuzz with activity. Diners choose from a main dining area, private booths, a private tatami room, the sushi bar or the robata bar for customized grilled meat, vegetable and seafood dishes. Mains range from sushi and sashimi or beef and salmon teriyaki to a selection of hot pots—cooked tableside in a large iron pot. Mains $18–$32.50.
