The brickwork arches, wooden chairs, dusty-pink linens and soft lighting create a charming though perhaps unintentionally retro atmosphere. Regulars select from the comprehensive list of pasta dishes, which runs from classic spaghetti with meatballs to more interesting combinations, such as fettuccine in a tomato–cuttlefish ink sauce, tagliatelle with mushrooms and mussels, and spinach gnocchi in a rosé sauce. Also sample from a variety of veal, chicken, steak and seafood dishes: veal scaloppine alla marsala; chicken parmigiana; several steaks, including a 10-ounce New York cut; and seafood entrées, including calamari, sole, tiger shrimp and lobster tail. Mains $12–$22.
