Editorial Review

A fixture in the neighbourhood, this casual, bustling trattoria is still going strong. Antipasti include gossamer slices of Canadian prosciutto wrapped around fresh fig, tangy goat cheese and peppery arugula. Grilled house sausage is served with stewed tomatoes with onion and fresh oregano but could be juiced up with more fat. Flourless chocolate cake bests bland crème brûlée for dessert. In winter months, the perpetually opening front door cools the room and food. The democratically priced wine list has most bottles under $40. Mains $11–$21.
