Editorial Review

Family get-togethers at huge tables are a common sight, as diners order crisp caesar salad with silky dressing, a light touch of garlic and parm shavings. Chicken breast in balsamic reduction gets it right; the meat is juicy, the sauce made special by a drizzle of maple syrup. Porcini risotto is eye-closing bliss, superbly textured and kissed with shaved black truffle. Wines by the glass are scant. Front-of-house man Aldo Egidi knows a thing or two about hospitality. Mains $18–$28.
