Editorial Review

Worth searching out on the endless Danforth plaka, this casual room has an ever-busy quality—spilling out onto a sunny patio in warmer months. Fans of the Greek isle eating style happily find nothing new here. Classic spreads kick-start an evening nicely: garlicky, beautifully flavoured eggplant, a lustrous fluff of pink taramasalata, and sturdy hummus are all authentically composed. A hefty pair of intact grilled calamari looks promising but could be more tender. A dark moussaka boasts a fragrant meaty filling. Combination platters overflow with moist souvlaki, Ontario lamb chops, citrus-studded sausages and ground sirloin biftekia, all deftly char-grilled. During the summer the kitchen stays open late for night owls.
