Editorial Review

The “original” in this diner’s name probably refers to the now-kitschy decor and atmosphere that has clearly remained intact since its inception. Among the soda-bar stools and floral wallpaper, the menu caters to breakfast and midday noshers and ditches originality in favour of old-school comfort food: grilled cheese, open-faced sandwiches, chicken on a bun, burgers and chops. Unlicensed. Mains $1.95–$7.95.
