Editorial Review

This College stalwart still proudly shines its now-retro Formica and stainless steel kitchen. On weekends, the long counter and vinyl booths fill up with the hungry and hungover, looking for everything from comforting greasy breakfast options (glistening eggs with crackling bacon strips) to burgers (the breaded chicken burger, fried to tender precision, arrives piled high with thickly cut toppings) to homestyle dinner specials that include pork chops and liver—all for less than $10. Creamy rice pudding, liberally sprinkled with nutmeg and cinnamon, makes a fine finale.
