Editorial Review

A Beach takeout joint that takes its decor cues from Subway—including a sandwich counter, fluorescent lighting and limited indoor seating. Jody's namesake is served on rye and comes with a pickle. Other sandwich options include corned beef, roast beef, pastrami, Reuben, roasted chicken and smoked turkey breast. Meats come directly from Montreal and are served on premium rye or a kaiser. A limited selection of sides: homemade coleslaw, pasta salad, potato salad and soup. A Montreal bagel brunch from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily goes for just $5. Mains $5–$9.50.
