Fran’s Restaurant

Editorial Review

Open since 1940 and located just steps from Massey Hall, this bright and airy diner has a contemporary feel. Diner staples include shepherd’s pie (a customer favourite) and meat loaf, plus ribs, steak and a variety of seafood options. A large selection of stir-fries tempts those in need of comfort food, from cilantro chicken to surf and turf. And, of course, an all-day breakfast remains popular with partiers and jet-lagged tourists. Mains $13–$20.95.
