When Czehoski opened in 2005, it was all about cutting-edge molecular gastronomy, but over the years the menu has come to match the laid-back aesthetic and service of the place. Picking up where departed chef Nathan Isberg left off, new chef Leor Zimerman turns out fresh, familiar fare: fresh oysters, and beet and frisée salad. An admirable steak frites brings tender slices of flatiron sided by crispy fries and a rich roquefort aïoli. Such honest fare deserves a better wine list with more options under $40. Mains $9–$27.
