Price Description

Lovers huddle under a palm tree watching a glorious sunset (in the large mural painted on Pelican’s wall). The intimate scene is fitting for this tiny Caribbean restaurant, which has only three small tables and a bustling takeout business on the side. Customers sip Ting, coconut water or one of the restaurant’s homemade juice concoctions (such as the popular cucumber, june plum and ginger medley) while they wait for their food. Crowd-pleasers include ackee, salt fish and callaloo for the daytimers; and stew chicken, jerk chicken, oxtail and curried goat for the late-night revellers. Unlicensed. Mains $6.85–$12.10.
