Tucked in the front of this elegant bakery, outfitted in warm woods and European watercolours, lies a buffet lunch and dinner area. The rotating daily offerings feature comforting fare, such as Tuscany-style chicken cacciatore, grilled vegetable medley, and roast beef with mashed potatoes. Breakfasts are popular, too, starring Mediterranean scrambled eggs with feta, western omelettes, and challah French toast with fruit on the side. A sandwich bar is handy for on-the-go snackers, while a mouth-watering display of cakes, pastries and cookies tempts customers on their way out. The rugalachs are legendary. Unlicensed. Mains $5.95–$9.95.
