expensiveWith only a few watercolour pictures soberly adorning the walls, this sparse patisserie-cum-café prefers to showcase its mouth-watering assortment of homemade Italian pastries. Patron yuppies and Little Italy’s ethnic locals ogle desserts representing different regions of Italy—from cheesecakes, tarts and éclairs to biscotti, cannoli and sfogliati. Hot days call for homemade gelato on the sidewalk benches (pistachio and lemon are favourites). Salads and sandwiches (chicken sandwich on focaccia, bocconcini and tomato salad, green bean salad) prepped on freshly baked bread, bagels and buns fill bigger appetites. Unlicensed. Mains $5–$10.
