Editorial Review

Rotating artwork and a flowering patio oasis set the tone at this funky Parkdale café. Stubbly dudes and their vintage-clad dames order up sandwiches with gourmet ingredients: avocado, brie, mango, cayenne egg salad and red apples. Breakfast items like the Poor John’s omelette (a portobello, St. Jorge cheese and red onion affair) are served until 3 p.m. every day. Monthly events include storytelling, local music, book club meetings and stitch ’n’ bitch sessions. Mains $4.95–$8.25.
