The young patrons, like the staff, match the chic, candlelit subterranean room. Executive chef Trevor Wilkinson has created a comforting, hedonistic menu (an entire section is dedicated to foie gras) with broad appeal. Execution doesn’t always live up to the description, though. Dungeness crab salad with cornbread pain perdu and tomato jam sounds luscious but tastes more like a tuna sandwich. A salt-cured foie gras club sandwich with dill pickle chips sounds terrifying but is scrumptious. Desserts make good use of chocolate, peanut butter, caramel and doughnuts. Mains $25–$39.
