Editorial Review

Noisily busy, this traditional pub draws crowds for the cooking, not for the ho-hum beer selection. In the winter months, chicken-and-leek pot pie, delectable in its butter-fragrant crust, is chock full of white meat and veggies braised in Harp lager. Irish stew simmers lean beef and lamb in Guinness with root vegetables. Specials include 50-cent wings (Tuesday year-round, Saturday after 4 p.m. throughout summer and, of course, during hockey season).
