This bustling bar’s menu is best described as “gourmet pub,” complemented by an extensive wine list. Patrons sit at comfortable tables and at the long oak bar; the room is lit by candles and dozens of fairy lights strung on the ceiling’s decorative tree branches. The kitchen jazzes up pub food staples to create dishes such as lamb bangers and mash, and crab mac ’n’ cheese. Standard offerings also include chicken parmesan, pastas, cod cakes, sandwiches and burgers. Mains $9–$29.
