Editorial Review

Ground from fatty, flavourful beef chuck, six-ounce burgers yield a juicy succulence that could be dangerously habit forming. Never frozen, the tender Ontario AAA patties (chicken and veggie burgers are also available) are charbroiled in an open kitchen and served on soft, white sesame buns that hold together even when stuffed with extras. The basic burgers are tasty, but the designer versions sing. The Craft Bleu (piled with blue cheese, avocado and roasted garlic) surprises with creamy, tangy richness. The Craft Spicy balances a smoky chipotle mayo with sweet caramelized onions. Thick-sliced onion rings deliver huge crunch, while a generous portion of poutine—hand-cut fries, sharp white cheddar curds and dark beef gravy—proves heart-poundingly addictive. Dense milkshakes and chocolate-toffee cookies satisfy the sweet-toothed. Friendly staff can be disorganized. The cramped tables and counter discourage leisurely dining. Unlicensed.
