Price Description

Tucked away atop a store in Kensington Market, this cozy, African art–filled resto-lounge serves some of the only Senegalese cuisine in the city. Senegal’s most popular dish, thiebou djeun, brings fried fish stuffed with parsley and cooked in tomato sauce over rice and vegetables. Soupe kandja stirs lamb and fish cooked in palm oil with chopped okra. Zesty lemon and onion sauce douse barbecued chicken in yassa chicken. Cash only. Mains $12.95–$19.95.
