Originally known for its educational software, this upbeat store still has a pleasantly nerdy air about it. You’ll find such toy store staples as Lego, Playmobil, Corolle dolls ($10–$100), Baby Einstein CDs ($10–$13) and plenty of appealing stuffed animals from Wild Republic ($20). But brainy gizmos have always been the chain’s real forte. A strong science section features a microscope that is capable of zooming to 400 times ($100); aspiring techies will hanker for the Build Your Own Remote Control Kit ($20).
