The city offers lessons to kids aged six months and older in more than 100 pools. Some are indoors, some outdoors, and all classes are led by qualified in­structors. Parents accompany their tots in the water for Guardian Swim; kids aged five and up go it alone in the Ultra Swim and Super Swim programs. Children who prefer smaller classes may opt for private, semi-private or small-group lessons.
