One outdoor and five indoor Olympic-sized volleyball courts are covered in more than 1,500 tons of the golden stuff, spread two-feet deep. The courts are available for tropical parties; a two-hour fest could include beach volleyball, dodge ball, tug-of-war, relay races or sandcastle building. There are also themed activities, such as a pirate-inspired treasure hunt and a dinosaur dig. You can bring in your own food, though pizza and other options are available on-site. North Beach also offers a portable climbing wall, which includes an auto-belay system (perfect for beginners), that can be booked for backyard events. Ages: all ages.
