Parenting and Family Literacy Centres of the Toronto District School Board

These free drop-in programs for parents and preschoolers are aimed at helping prepare children for the challenges of school life. Meetings take place within local public school classrooms and offer play-based programs that support literacy and numeracy. Parents are active participants alongside their tots, telling stories and playing math, music and alphabet games. Enrolment varies from 15 to 60 families a day.
