Teaching methods of raising children is the mandate of this non-profit organization established in 1974. Workshops and courses provide parents with the skills to ensure children grow into “happy, secure, self-­sufficient, emotionally healthy adults.” Some of the themes include communication, positive discipline, self-esteem and co-­operation; specific problems addressed include short attention spans and peer pressure.

Office, Tu–F 10–4 p.m.
How much:
Workshops up to $10 in advance; two-week courses $40, four weeks $60, six weeks $90.
