A gay and lesbian stronghold, the 519 Church Street Community Centre runs four regular programs catering to parents and kids. Dykes Planning Tykes is a twice-yearly eight-week course for lesbians and bi­sexuals interested in having children. The Mum’s the World! family lunch is a monthly drop-in. At the Queer Parenting Exchange, current and prospective parents hold discussions every month on topics ranging from sperm donation to adoption.

Mums the World, last Sa of every month 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; Queer Parenting Exchange, Sept. to May, fourth W of every month 8 p.m.
How much:
free; Dykes Plan­ning Tykes $60 suggested donation per course, plus cost of manual.
