Since 1959, this school has nurtured budding ballerinas. Some children enter the school’s professional program in Grade 6, but the Associates Program (for kids aged six to 17) offers a superb curriculum for those who don’t necessarily have professional aspirations. Classes focus on conditioning, character building and repertoire studies. Younger kids focus on musicality and pleasure in movement, using exercises designed by a neuromuscular specialist. Audition required.

- Sept.–June M–F 6:30–8:15 p.m., Sa 9–5.

- $700 to $1,950 per year.
