You won’t find pretentious consultants and posh vignettes here; rather, expect to see expert sewers busy tucking, pleating and pressing at long workbenches and buzzing sewing machines. Owner Laiko Matsubayashi is available to lend advice on store specialties (custom window treatments, bedding and fabric accessories), but reference samples and pictures are strongly recommended.
