Custom drapery as thick as an eiderdown (thanks to many layers of plush interlining) reigns supreme at this studio-slash-workroom. The sample room is jammed with trims, tassels and fabric swatches that cover the style and price spectrum from Robert Allen to Barbara Barry. Semi-custom drapery ($200–$300 per panel) is made to order in about a week, and lets you choose your own Robert Allen fabric, pleat style, height and panels. Blinds from Hunter Douglas and Silent Gliss (a high-tech, high-end line of shades from Switzerland) are other window covering options. Consultations are done on-site, but home visits can also be arranged; walk-ins are first-come, first-served.
