This shop on the border of Riverdale specializes in the latest glazes and faux finishes. The hottest treatments, according to owner Debbi Reim, are suede (“flat and very washable,” $35–$40 per gallon) and Velvet Venetian plaster ($100 per gallon)—pigmented with metallic gold, it gives walls a “velvet look.” Reim reports an ever-growing interest in green paints—that is, free of volatile organic compound. Educational sem-inars are held every couple of months.
