A 2006 fire forced this decor stalwart to move down the street from its previous location, which it had occupied since 1913. Now settled in to the new digs, the stylish two-storey shop offers expert service and a deep selection (everything from door knockers to drapery). One wall is devoted to chips from Benjamin Moore, Pittsburgh Paints, Para Paints and, exclusive to the store, luxurious, handcrafted C2 (from $50 per gallon). Quebec-made Boomerang recycled paint is reasonably priced, at $16 a gallon. More than 700 wallpaper books feature samples from the likes of Thibaut, Crown and Romo (all $29–$300 per roll).
