The twisted metal chandelier ($8,000) hanging by the reception desk is typical of the work of Dutch team Universe Quasar, one of more than 70 designers represented here. With 5,000 square feet of display space, Eurolite stocks everything from the classics of modern design—such as the original black Tizio desk lamp from Artemide ($500)—to new forms of bendable rail lighting. Euro stars aside, the store also showcases such Canadian designers as Powell & Bonnell, Eureka and David Didur. This is a good place to stock up on the smaller things: pot-light trims, dimmers, and light bulbs in all shapes, sizes and wattages.
