If your idea of the perfect backyard is less dig-in-the-dirt, more jump-in-the-Jacuzzi, look no further. Mark Hartley’s high-end residential landscape designs can be found in the sprawling yards of Rosedale, the Bridle Path and Forest Hill. Hartley’s landscapes are so stunning that photos on his Web site could be mistaken for a travel guide to lush vacation destinations: on one page, a waterfall tumbles into a clear blue pond with a grotto beside it; on another, a Japanese-style garden features lily ponds; another resembles a private resort complete with an infinity pool. And with more people viewing their properties up north as second homes rather than cottages, paradise, it seems, can follow you wherever you go.
