A custom kitchen is not for the light of pocket: at minimum, expect to pay $35,000 to $40,000—up to $200,000 for all the bells and whistles. But a kitchen reno of this magnitude should be like a wedding: do it once and do it right. The kitchens in this showroom lean to the Napa Valley–meets–Woodbridge aesthetic (think heavy corbels, decorative ironwork and massive centre islands), but if a more subtle look is what you’re after, any style, colour or configuration is possible. Ergonomic function and maximum storage are key considerations: a built-in cutlery organizer, a two-tiered Lazy Susan for pots and pans, and a pullout pantry with adjustable bins are typical add-ons.
