This designer has developed an uncluttered style that mixes eras and forms to create a Euro-chic luxury-loft look. Condo projects may incorporate spare arrangements of black leather and chrome, a neo-classical dining table, large-scale photographic art, and her rule of “simple, clean bedrooms.” More recently, Mimran has become preoccupied with deeper textures and hues, as well as a traditional white palette, encouraging a greater use of such tone-on-tone fabrics as velvet, chenille and velour. She is fond of items that blend old and new “in a harmonious setting.” Items such as a Louis Phillipe secretary reflect this preferred style. Mimran also admires the traditional English Georgian design tradition “for the cleanness of its line.”
