Pink, Colour and Design

Designer Janice Lindsay does in-home consultations—and doesn’t leave until there is no doubt that silver sage green is the absolute right shade for the bedroom and the sofa really does belong on the south-facing wall. In three hours, Lindsay can cure “colour paralysis,” sketch a room layout, edit your existing furnishings, leave you with a list of trusted suppliers, and basically put you well on the path to decorating nirvana. She insists the at-home process has to be collaborative. “I’m not a colour bully,” she says. “If someone wants white, we find the right shade of white.”
