Kate Zeidler Interior Design

  • 416-924-3750
She’s not at all a glass-and-steel modernist like her father, Eb, the eminent architect of public spaces, office towers and the Eaton Centre. Since 1985, Kate Zeidler has delivered updated traditional environments for a long list of establishment clients. In keeping with her personable manner, Zeidler’s rooms are chic, easy to live with and have a breezy tone. She begins with a natural palette of warm textures and substantial textiles—but nothing precious, nothing too starched. Her walls are often a neutral shade; a variety of fabrics cover furnishings with rounded forms. Living rooms are planned with cozy and inviting sitting areas; kitchens can be brightened with painted wood cabinetry set off by modern nickel hardware, and high-backed country chairs around a granite island.
