Opposite the Rolex store, Williams-Sonoma attracts aspiring chefs with cookware bling. The store instructs through cooking demos and inspires with stylish displays of counter-worthy pieces. It sells the best in classic and contemporary gear: Queen Anne and Apilco Zen dishware; Mauviel copper pots (crêpe pan, $240) and All-Clad (10 Coppercore pieces, $1,560); KitchenAid mixers (from $360) and Bialetti’s Gran Gala cappuccino carafe ($100). There’s stemless Riedel and Simon Pearce crystal, jewel-cased knives (France’s Laguiole, Japan’s Shun Kershaw), cookbooks and utensils. House-brand goods include food (Pecorino Romano pasta sauce, $14.50), linens and eco cleaning products.
