Devotees of Scandinavian design make the pilgrimage north of Steeles to this airy strip mall boutique dedicated to all things Nordic. Everything from cedar sauna buckets to tubes of Finnish mustard justify the trek. However, the big draw is the extensive collection of Marimekko bags (from $49), bathroom towels (from $42) and fabric (from $35 a metre), some printed with innocently cheery patterns of birds, birch trees, pop-art graphics or the label’s signature poppy, of which Jackie O was an early convert. The equally cultish wares by refined design company Iittala include stemware, icicle-inspired candlesticks and curvaceous candy bowls and vases ($20–$2,200) by Alvar Aalto.
